4/28/11: Here is where the real motivation began, ate clean, avg 800-900 cals per day, began walking/running, lost 10 lbs in 4 weeks! The breakthrough was amazing for me!!
5/14/11: 193.0 - 10.5 (-45.5 total) - SIZE 14 shorts!!! *Had real motivation/began chiropractor/laid off on 5/28 (knew it was coming for some time so I was well prepared)
6/1/11: Laid off from job after 17 years. Chose severance instead of moving with the company. I thought I'd have about a year off before I found another job.
6/5/11: 189.5 - 3.5 (-48 lbs total) Devoting all my time to exercise and eating right.
6/13/11: Offered 2 jobs, turned one down accepted the other. Only had 4 weeks off between jobs.
6/16/11: 187.5 - 2.0 (-50 lbs total) I haven't been in the 180's for at least 10 years! WOW, just WOW!
7/2/11: 191.0 +3.5 (WTF!) Running consistently and 1000 or less calories consistently. Bah!
7/10/11: 185.0 -6.0 (WTF?) Definitely feel different in clothes in stomach area-less muffin. In Running I've increased milage - can run for 70 mins straight/marathon training/increased calories to 1100 per day. In the last 2 weeks, I'm losing my hair - very noticeable in the shower only at this point.
7/11/11: 186.0 - Started my new job - promotion and more responsibility, scared, a little resentful of not being able to take more time off but grateful to have a job so soon.
9/3/11: Completed the Rock and Roll half marathon RUNNING the ENTIRE THING. Time was 3h:03m. Struggled to continue to find time to run while working really long hours at new job.
12/29/11: 190.0 - not bad considering I've eaten way to much chocolate, eaten what I want whenever I wanted it, and stopped exercising in September. Thank goodness, I'm back on track now.
7/17/12: 198.0 - Started running program again. Don't want to give up my life because of my job. I'd stopped running and exercising altogether b/c of the stressful new job and long hours. I gained 13 pounds since starting this new job exactly a year ago because I was not running or exercising at all. I was surviving.
1/1/15: 190 - began losing weight due to stress and reflux issues.
4/1/15: 175.0 - visited gastroenterologist, diagnosed with Grade C Reflux and inflamed stomach and esophagus. 2cm Hiatal Hernia also found.
10/18/15: 162lbs - lowest weight that I can remember in my life.
11/18/15: 166 lbs - visited bariatic surgeon for first time in US. Medications have greatly improved my reflux and inflammation, however, hernia and valve between stomach and esophagus not working so reflux still an issue that won't be resolved with medication. I don't want to be on PPIs (acid pump inhibitors) for the rest of my life, so surgery is the option.
