I know in mine there aren't many jobs and lots of people are out of work for over a year. If there are a lot of jobs then taking time off would be good. If there aren't, then maybe a second look??Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06116482163287664390noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7592658291373471336.post-1363716059072388922011-04-10T07:59:10.582-07:002011-04-10T07:59:10.582-07:00Awesome that you're losing!
I agree with Gen-...Awesome that you're losing!

I agree with Gen-- if you'd love to have either of these jobs AFTER the 10 weeks, then maybe it's worth giving up the time off to make sure you have something you'd really love.

If they just aren't quite right and you'd be settling to take either, then taking time off is great.

I guess I'm just cautious in this economy. You hear of so many well educated, well-experienced people who can't find work for a very long time when they want it. It sounds like you have lots of interest-- so maybe that won't happen to you, but one of the factors of long-term unwanted unemployment that keeps getting mentioned is that the longer you are off the market (time since last job), the less marketable you are.

I don't want to be a downer! Feel free to ignore me. But I know this is a major decision you're struggling with.Lylahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09330598009302675050noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7592658291373471336.post-73755670284860893022011-04-10T07:51:09.248-07:002011-04-10T07:51:09.248-07:00I'm thinking if these opportunities are really...I'm thinking if these opportunities are really great, you probably should not pass them up. But if you feel like they are not right, then time off would be good too! I guess having choices is a good thing, but difficult.

Way to go on the 2 pounds! At this point every single ounce is a total victory! At least that's how I see it for me! ;)Genhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11414571860592267584noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7592658291373471336.post-45160831179215802712011-04-10T06:44:43.127-07:002011-04-10T06:44:43.127-07:00Sometimes the safe choice isn't always the bes...Sometimes the safe choice isn't always the best.
